Why Build a Deck Collection Tool
My journey into the world of playing card collecting began in late 2024. As I started to curate my collection, I quickly realized the need for a reliable tool to help manage and organize my cards effectively. While searching for existing solutions, I came across Portfolio52, but I noticed it faced significant reliability issues that hindered the user experience, as well as running on an aged version of (one of my favorite) web frameworks. Frustrated by these limitations, I decided to leverage my expertise in software development and web design to create a more robust, stable, and modern platform tailored specifically for playing card collectors.
With over 20 years of experience in web development, particularly with technologies like Laravel,Node,React,Vue,etc... I am committed to building a tool that not only meets the needs of collectors but also enhances their overall experience. My goal is to provide a seamless and intuitive interface, allowing users to focus on what they love most—collecting cards.

I have a passion for crafting unique niche product ideas, focusing on eliminating unnecessary features and emphasizing core aspects for product success. As both a VP of Engineering at my day job, I have honed my skills in developing secure, high-quality software products that meet the needs of users. My goal with this project is to bring that level of professionalism and reliability to the playing card collecting community, creating a platform that truly serves the needs of collectors.

We also feel that your data belongs to you - at any point you can export your collection data in CSV or JSON format and take it with you or keep it as a backup/offline copy.
