This deck was one of two released as a double deck set on the 200 year anniversary of W.D. & H.O. Wills. These sets were produced exclusively for the employees and pensioners of the company. The pictures used on the faces of the cards were taken from a series of 1902 cigarette inserts featuring the Kings and Queens of England. The aces were taken from a series of ad cards called stiffeners (they stiffened the paper cigarette packs. The drawing on the card backs is the 18th century quayside scene first used as the pack design for The Three Castles tobacco in 1877.
