The deck design conveys an overall apocalyptic tone. The artist wanted to demonstrate a nice combination of minimalism and detailed illustration which he believes lends itself well to the overall theme and aesthetics of the deck. This deck is part of a 6 deck collection. Uranium 52 is an apocalyptic, nuclear-themed deck. Each deck comes with 56 custom designed card backs and faces and a bespoke, luxury tuck case. The backs of the cards feature a bespoke design inspired by the "Indian-head test pattern" that was widely used during the black and white tv broadcasting era. First introduced in 1939, this screen more recently became more closely associated with an impending apocalypse in popular culture, through television and gaming. Court Cards The court cards take the core premice of court card design and uses nuclear/apocalyptic associated design elements, combined with a style that falls in line with the overall tone of the deck to create unique illustrations tailored to the theme of this deck. The tuck case takes a more clean, minimalist approach in its design. The case uses glossy black foil printed onto a special, luxury stock called "Nuclear Acid". This stock in itself inspired the creation of this deck. It has a very unique colour and texture that isn't commonly seen on card stock.
