In classical Chinese culture, the novel The Creation of the Gods (封神演义) is a renowned masterpiece centered on gods and demons. Among its many characters is Nezha (哪吒), often referred to as the "Third Lotus Prince" (三太子). Our work draws inspiration from The Creation of the Gods, focusing on two central figures: Nezha (哪吒) and Dakki (妲己). Alongside them, iconic characters such as Erlang Shen (二郎神), Nüwa (女娲), the Jade Emperor (玉皇大帝), the Dragon King (龙王), and the Tathagata Buddha (如来佛) will also appear. Through these figures, our work aims to showcase the profound essence of classical Chinese shamanic culture to audiences worldwide.
The card box design for Dakki draws inspiration from Su Daji (Dakki) in The Creation of the Gods. Renowned for her breathtaking beauty, she is often referred to as the "shy flower of the moon." However, beneath her captivating appearance lies her true form—the Nine-Tailed Fox Spirit. This duality of allure and mystery is reflected in the intricate design, capturing both her elegance and the enchanting essence of her origin.
