New Friday (Lot's of) Features (Post Disney Edition) - Feb 7, 2025
Pro Tip: - in case you haven't noticed most of the stuff I mention in these release notes actually deploys throughout the week - I just like to sum it all up on Friday - basically - we release almost every day of the week
Here's what we added/updated this week:
- Deck Quantities! - this one has been a big request since day 1. Now when you add a deck to your collection it will give you the option to select different quantities (sealed, opened, damaged, decks that are missing cards) - as well as add notes. This data will also be included in your collection JSON and CSV exports
- Note: I had to default to something other than 0 for existing collection data- so everyone will be defaulted to 1 sealed deck - feel free to update your collection as you see fit
- Custom Collection Ordering: You can now order your collection by dragging and dropping (when logged in click 'Set Custom Collection Order' when viewing your collection)
- Note 1: Right now this is a desktop only feature - so you'll have to go to your computer to do this, not your phone
- Note 2: I had to pick a 'default' custom sort order, so I just went by date added - ie: the first deck you added is order 1, second deck is 2, etc...
- Collections: A few more updates besides custom ordering:
- Number per page - ability to change the number per page on your collection and wishlist screens
- Added some navigation on the mobile view similar to the desktop view
- Individual Card Images: You can now view and contribute images of individual cards - all 52, +2 Jokers, +6 additional card images for a total of 60 images to associate with a deck - please help us grow this data by submitted some card imagery!
- Company/Artists in the Deck info popup - this was a request to show the Company and Artist in the deck info modal that pops up when selecting a deck (vs. having to click into the deck detail screen to see it)
- Command K or Ctrl K to search: On a desktop browser pressing Command+K on a Mac or CTRL + K on a PC will jump your cursor to the search field - so you can search without your hands leaving the keyboard
- Homepage Visual Updates: Did some tweaking to the homepage's layout
Here's a list of the bugs we fixed/address this week:
- Fixed a bug with sorting collections by date that was causing decks to appear 2x
- Fixed a bug with the collections/wishlist header not appearing correctly on mobile
- Removed a slow query on the homepage for recently collected decks
Here's what we currently have planned for next week:
- Deck Data! - We have lots of requests for various additional deck data fields to be added, we'll be focusing on those
- Deck Images! - Just a bit more work until we're done with 'deck imagery' - so look for a 'photo gallery' and suggesting replacements for the front/back image
- More collection enhancements - More ways to filter/view your collection
Whew! - what a week and what a set of releases! - Enjoy!
