I picked up a half dozen lot of playing cards back in December of 2023. When they came in I was looking through them and my wife happened to be walking by. She stopped to look and immediately fell in love with these silly boxes of paper. But, they’re all works of art, with someone or a group of someone’s pouring parts of their lives into them. It was at that point we started chasing them wherever we came across them. I’ll admit sheepishly that we’ve accumulated near 4k decks in our first year of collecting, but everyone has hobbies, and we’re fortunate enough to have the disposable income to chase playing cards. No, we don’t open decks, everyone has their own collecting style. Yes, we do appreciate what we can see on the tucks. For us, it’s about the chase. My wife and I have been married 30+ years, living in Tulsa, Ok, therefore, we are the TulsaPairofHearts.
