I really sort of just fell into collecting decks by accident. I’ve always been a sports card collector since I was old enough to know what collecting meant as a young kid. I never gave a thought to collecting playing card decks. I started practicing cardistry & some simple fast sleight of hand to use for up close tricks if I’m ever asked “do you know any tricks?” So for the past 10+ years I always carry a deck everywhere with me. I got my start collecting when parents brought me back a bunch of casino used canceled decks along with casino used cancelled die from a bunch of casinos past & present. That got me hooked into me going out to garage sales & looking on eBay, being on forums and doing trades or purchasing from other collectors. I would’ve never guessed just how big deck collecting is & just how AWESOME of a community is within it. I’ve never been looked down on for not being as knowledgable about decks as most of the people who’ve been collecting almost their whole lives. Also whenever I need help or have a question about a cost of a deck I’m thinking of buying I can ask on any card collecting forum and have an honest answer almost instantly. I just discovered this site today 5/11/25 by accident searching google for playing card decks. I immediately signed up and can’t wait to get my collection imported as well as seeing other collectors decks.
