Conjuring Arts is incredibly pleased to offer the fifth version of the Erdnase 1902 brand cards. The Smith No. 2 Blue design is exceptional. This white and blue deck is a unique hybrid design that can be used for gambling routines and sleights, as well as effects that require or benefit from white borders. These commemorative decks, designed by Guy Hollingworth (with additional face artwork by Dan White), are printed on exclusive Bee Casino paper and are made with a special coating to ensure the best handling. They’ve been cut the same way as Richard Turner has his cut so they faro and shuffle extremely well. These are actually our best handling cards to date. If you loved the last decks, the Smith No. 2 Blue will blow you away. This Smith No. 2 Blue Deck is named Smith in honor of Marshall D. Smith the illustrator of The Expert at the Card Table. The overall Bee-like pattern is actually made up of tiny reproductions of the hands in the illustrations of the great card classic (click on the image to the left). Where before the background was colored in black, and then in red, for our original Smith cards, the Smith No. 2 design has a white back with blue illustrations of the hands. The color reversal is dramatic, and the cards are just as great to work with as the earlier decks, cambric or ivory finish. You must send an e-mail to us with your order if you would like Ivory decks, otherwise we will send your order in cambric. This is our first deck in one of the traditional blue colors, presented to you in a dynamic, exciting design. These decks also use the original faces used by U.S. Playing Card Co. in 1902. These great faces have somewhat larger pips and somewhat smaller indices which combine to create an unusually attractive face. The head playing card researcher of US Playing Card Co. supervised all aspects of production of these cards, including overseeing production of printing the backs, embossing, crushing and the final cutting and casing at the U.S. Playing Card Co. factory. We truly believe that we’ve made the finest cards that US Playing Card can produce at the present time. The cards were printed in a very limited quantity and there is no guarantee that they will be re-printed. If you need some of these to perform with, practice with, or add to your collection, this is the time to get them. Available in Ivory and Cambric finishes
