During the first phase of printing Winter Solstice, Kings Wild Project discovered a number of scratches and creases on the faces of the cards, exposing lines of the holographic foil that underlays the art. Anyone who received these "crappy" decks were also sent a reprint that was free of error, but Kings Wild Project were left with hundreds of decks that are below standard of quality at Kings Wild. The Winter Solstice is the fourth and final deck in a series thematically based on the Equinox and Solstice Calendar events. Solstice continues the series by celebrating the Winter Solstice, ushering in the cold and the snow of winter. The Solstice tuck case features a premium paper stock with holographic foiled patterns. The Standard Edition Winter Solstice has a sleek and simple design that makes a perfect pairing to its more elaborate Limited and Gilded Edition siblings. The combinations of matte white paper stock and holographic foil create a vibrant and abstract presentation. The completely custom court cards continue this theme with holographic foil underlays.
