Description

The artwork was created based on art that was produced during the Sengoku period, which was the most chaotic period in Japanese history. Hanafuda Literally means the war of flowers, but the Sengoku period was a period of bloodshed beyond the imagination of the present world, and it is also a period that is full of lessons for everyone to learn. The Hanafuda deck, with the theme of the Sengoku period, has a total of 54 cards and is the same size as the cards in a standard playing card deck. All of the images on the cards in this deck are original works of art depicting different clans from throughout Japan during the Sengoku period. All of the cards are 2.5" x 3.5" in size, coated with a linen texture on 350gsm (thickness) art paper and finished with rounded corners.
