Yosegi playing cards were designed and produced by Art of Play and were first introduced through their Mystery Deck 2023 event. The card design was inspired by yosegi, the classic Japanese art of pattern making. Yosegi is best known for its wooden boxes (for jewelry, puzzles, etc.) that use different types of wood to create beautiful and intricate designs. Art of Play has taken these classic designs and turned them into the borderless back of this deck. The faces have a beige background that gives the cards a vintage feel.
