Yokai Parade is derived from the classic Japanese folk legend Hyakki Yagyō (Night Parade of a Hundred Demons). Yokai refers to the diverse supernatural spirits in the legend, and Parade echoes the core imagery of the hundred demons’ nightly procession. We have selected 50 classic yokai from Japanese traditional folklore and ukiyo-e art, reimagined as intricate illustrations on each card.
