Delightful deck made by Carta Mundi for the Royal Dutch Lawn Tennis Association (“KNLTB”) c.1984, promoting its work. The box and Aces of the deck also feature prominently the initials “RJVA,” which are the Dutch indices for Aces and court cards; in this instance each of those indices stands for a word that speaks to the services provided by the Association. The figures of the court cards (R, V, and J) are all holding tennis rackets that are shaped the same as the suit symbol of the suit to which they belong, and the Aces and pips of the pip cards feature that tennis racket design. The artist who designed the cards is not identified.
