The Stencil

Hello Kickstarter family. Here we are again for another round. This time I have for you the next version of the DBPC series, The Stencil by Donnybrook. For this deck we have the original "Dogo" (donnybrook logo) on the back with a little twist to it. With a simple back design I wanted each face to be custom. So all 56 cards are either custom or hand drawn around each pip of the faces. The back was first tease at Cardistry-Con Portland. I did not have time to make t-shirts for the con. So i thought why don't I make a stencil of my logo and spray paint it on a t-shirt. Once i release it at the con I sold out of the shirts and got amazing feedback from it. Through out the con I spoke with a couple danish friends who suggested I should make a Donnybrook Logo Deck. After the con I came back home and started to make the design. I took a picture of the Stencil T-shirt and turned the image into a vector. The Back has two layers one of the layer is a the logo but i added a blur and a fade to it to make it more like a light spray can effect. On top of that is the remastered Dogo. If u look closely you can see the rough edges from the stencil making it seem like i sprayed on the design. I added some accent marks on the top and bottom corner using the Donnybrook symbols to emphasize the deck. With the exception of the court cards each face is hand drawn. I literally got my old Donny Brook deck and drew on each cards. I brought it into illustrator and turn all the cards to vector. The drawings are colored black but has a different shade of black from the rest of the deck so the drawings can pop out just a tad bit. On the queens i have added the a red Dogo on the faces that is slightly different shade of red then the rest of the deck so it can pop as well.
