This deck was originally published in Paris by Daumont. They were designed by Gilles de la Boissiere and engraved by Pierre de la Pautre. Some of the cards define certain terms used in warfare. There are also scenes of battles and their description at the base of the card. Part of a limited edition of 1,200 decks by now-defunct Italian card manufacturer Del Solleone. Each card measures 5.5 cm x 8.4 cm. Fournier: volume 1, page 259, #1 of Holland.
