This club deck was created for the 2026 52 Plus Joker Convention in Niagara Falls. This deck tells the story of a club that attracts so many different types of playing card enthusiasts. I wanted to create a collection of archetypal playing-card aficionados to celebrate the club’s story.
The tuck box features gold foil on a beautiful, matte green card stock, embossed with natural filigree. The tuck has a flap that is lifted to reveal the custom Ace of Spades. The card stock for the beautiful gold-embossed slip-case is made of coffee. It has a lovely fibrous matte finish that complements the green perfectly.
The cards inside also feature a classic finish with cold foil highlights to catch the light. Each number card has a delicate gold band surrounding each pip. The Joker cards feature acrobatic Jesters swinging in golden foil moon hoops. You’ll see. Everything is going to sparkle when you shuffle through this deck!
The depiction of everyone in the club, no matter their collecting preference, having a seat at the table is represented on the Ace of Spades. A major theme in this deck is unity, and so what better symbol than seats around a table? This detail can be seen through a die-cut hole in the tuck box.
The Spade Courts represent the trade side of playing card culture, featuring the Merchant Jack, the Collector Queen, and the King Auctioneer
The Diamond Courts are a celebration of craftsmanship in the playing card universe. I chose the Artist Jack, the Printer Queen, and the Winner King holding his 52 Plus Joker Diamond Awards trophy for the courts.
The Club Courts celebrate the mesmerizing dexterity of playing-card performers. I chose the Thrower Jack, the Cardist Queen, and the Magician King. The Heart Courts celebrate the interactive side of playing cards with the Gamer Jack, the Cartomancer Queen and the Gambler King.
This deck has a non-destructive seal that wraps around the box and feeds through the base. This has an intricate monochrome illustration and a gold embossed sticker to close it, This can be removed without damaging the tuck box.
